BANQUET AS GOOD AS EVER……
Around 70 or so attended the end of the year softball banquet at the JCC last night…..
There was food and drink (beer for DAVID WEIL and others) and a special guest speaker, JOHN
ERARDI, a local sports writer, who talked about his new book about long time favorite Cincinnati
Red, TONY PEREZ………
COMMISSIONER RICK TENENHOLTZ was the MC and did a heck of a job to keep the program
running smoothly…..
He announced that longtime commission member GARY GREFER and GREG LEADER will leave
the commission with newcomers MARK WEISSER and AARON COMPTON taking their
spots…..GOOD LUCK TO THEM…….
At the conclusion of the program, RON ROSE presented HOWARD SCHWARTZ a picture that he
had painted and donated another of one of the all time best to a new wing that is going to be added to
the JCC where the softball league will have its’ own history……

EDITOR’S NOTE……
Another season is in the books and parity seemed to be at its’ best as three different teams went home
with titles (first half, second half and tournament)……
Before we know it, the 2019 draft will take place and Wednesday night softball will be started….
