playing a solid defensive game as well…..ALEX LEFTON found his hitting stroke after a mild slump
as the winners continue to win one and lose one……

reported by KYLE GREFER….
GREFER 11 BRAFMAN 7
“It was a team effort, ” captain KYLE GREFER said afterwards.
MARK FRANKLIN led the way on offense with two big hits and BEN BARNETT had a fantastic
defensive game, while subs MATT BRODOFF and old timer BILLY KAHN had solid all around
games……
reported by MARC BRAFMAN……
“We continue to have problems on Sundays. With a couple of players out of position it was too much
for us to overcome,” BRAFMAN said afterwards.
“But take nothing away from TEAM GREFER, they hit the ball and made the plays when they had
to,” he added.
On offense, TEAM BRAFMAN were paced by JEREMY “HAMILTON” FOGEL who had two extra
base hits, super sub RYAN “HI HO” SILVERMAN who had a two run home run and JASON “THE
MAD HUNGARIAN” FAUST who went a perfect 4 for 4…..
A special kudos goes out to the “blazing” team speed on the bases to JOEL “THE WRATH OF”
KAHN, MIKE “FLASH” CREEMER and FAUST, who rivaled only the 1985 St. Louis Cardinals
with their fleet feet.
Defensively, JEREMY CANTOR (2B), LEON “THE BULL” SUSSERMAN (3B) and BRAFMAN
(SS) each made all the plays in the infield to keep the game close….
“We’ll try to right the ship on Wednesday against TEAM LEADER,” BRAFMAN said…….
next up…..
reported by KEN GROH……
GROH 13 SCHWARTZ 1
With the score tied 2-1 early in the game, ANDY HELDMAN (2 for 3) and JERRY KIRZNER (1 for

Nine different players scored in the victory……RYAN BAUM batted leadoff for the first time and
came one hit (home run) away from the very hard to do cycle, while ADAM CRONSTEIN had three
RBI’s…..
The big bat came from TYLER STANSBURY who smashed his 6h and 7th home runs of the season
and added a triple for his 14th extra base hit this year…..he also had 4 RBI’s to increase his season
total to 25 and continued to play stellar defense…..
“He’s having one the best seasons I’ve witnessed,” GROH said in his post-game remarks.
“After a rough stretch this month, we’re hoping to get some momentum leading into the playoffs,” he
added.
