TEAM WEISSER recorded their first victory of the season as BRAD WAGNER got the victory in the
absence of captain/pitcher MARK WEISSER….
The victors scored four runs in both the first and second innings…..
Big defensive plays were turned in by SCOTT FRIEND, TAYLOR SCHWARTZ and EVAN
WEISSER…..
Offensively, MICHAEL ASKIN, MICAH KAMRASS, BRIAN GOLDBERG, SCOTT ADAMS,
EVAN GILDENBLATT and sub LEON SESSERMAN all had key use knocks……

Combine good pitching with good defense and usually you come up with good things happening to
you…….
JIMMY LEFTON pitched one of his better games and the defense played almost flawless behind
him……MICHAEL KAHAN, EDDIE GALLOP, BRAD GALLOP, ROGER ROSENTHAL, DAVID
WERTHEIM, ALEX LEFTON and DAVID SOLOMON, all contributed fine plays in the field…..
Offensively, neither team hit well as MIKE GRAY pitched a great game in defeat, but a couple of
errors in the opening frame produced four unearned runs and that turned out to be enough…….
Here’s to a speedy recovery for JACK COHEN, subbing for TEAM LEFTON for the rest of the
season……he had to leave the game early…….condition was unknown at press time……

In a battle of the top two teams at 4-1, the victors gave up two runs in the top of the opening frame,
only to score 11 runs over the first two innings and never looked back……the game ended with a three
run walk off home run by DAN GREEN…..
After the game game, the winning celebration was briefly suspended when ADAM CRONSTEIN of
the opposing team, call the legality of ANTON LOON’S bat into question…..the appeal was later
dropped……
