In the other semi-final game, #2 seed TEAM GREFER knocked off #6 seed TEAM GUTTMAN, 11-5, as the victors contented their hot second half of the season using the standard formula of pitching and defense as well as timely hitting from the GREFER trio…..captain DANNY GREFER had a three-run home run, a double and two walks….KYLE GREFER had a bases clearing double and the “old” man, GARY GREFER had a run scoring triple…..all with two outs in their respective innings….defensively, HOWARD GOLDWASSER came up with two big catches in RF and the newly wedded MICAH KAMRASS made a handful of great plays in the outfield…..three additional plays seemed to knock the wind out of the opposition as ROY PAT FELDMAN made a spectacular catch over the shoulder after bobbling it….RYAN SMALL made a great play on a hard hit ball down the first base line and flipped it to pitcher MIKE GRAY and sub DEE HARRIS (TEAM FOGEL) threw out a runner at first base from the outfield….
AGAIN, THE FINALS IN THE TOURNAMENT WILL PIT #4 seed TEAM WEISSER vs. #2 seed TEAM GREFER WEDNESDAY SEPT. 16 at 6:00 p.m. with the pre-game show at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN……
