TEAM LEADER, once again without their captain, GREG LEADER, at the helm, defeated TEAM LEFTON in a slug fest, 18-17, as they rallied with four runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to snag the victory…..JAMEY KURTZER “scattered” 14 runs over the game and had the walk-off hit to win the game…….OH WHERE OH WHERE IS GREG LEADER??????……
Elsewhere, TEAM GUTTMAN got back in the win category with a 12-1 victory over TEAM FOGEL…..JEFF FINKELSTEIN had a solid game especially in the field and TODD “THE MACHINE” WASSERMAN and BEN B-ROD RODRIGUEZ both had a big days at the plate and ALAN “LESH” LESSURE did a nice job behind the plate…..
Afterwards, captain BRANDON GUTTMAN remarked, “We appear to ready to round into form at exactly right time and be the favorite for the title run that everyone originally expected.”
He added, “A season of tinkering and experimentation in anticipation of a title run looks like it could pay off in a big way.”
ON THE INJURY FRONT….
ANTON LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON had to leave his game with an unspecified injury……here’s hoping he’ll be back soon…..
