Thursday April 22……3:29 p.m…….other game results….TEAM SCHWARTZ defeated TEAM GUTTMAN 4-0, as HOWARD SCHWARTZ pitched another gem with key hits delivered by HAL FINE and BEN RODRIGUEZ and a great job defensively at third base by RICHARD GOLDFARB…..STU WEINSTEIN, a newcomer to the mound this season, pitched well in the defeat prompting captain BRANDON GUTTMAN to say, “We already know he’s a top hitter in the league, but Stu will be a pitching force to be reckoned with in this league.”…….NO report in on the TEAM CRONSTEIN 16-7 victory over TEAM EPPSTEIN stopped after six innings because of darkness though yours truely was there, but NOT there as a reporter…..ADAM CRONSTEIN……where are you?…..in a nutshell, BARRY KAPLAN pitched a fine game with MATT STEINBERG playing solid defense at shortstop and cmbining with his father BOB STEINBERG on a nifty double play at a crucial time of the game…..hits were spread out throughout the team except for DAN CRONSTEIN, but this proves that TEAM CRONSTEIN can win without one of their “stars” contributing……for comments/questions…….e-mail me at r.rosenthal@fuse.net…..
