TEAM LEADER defeated TEAM WEISBROT, 8-5, in a game that was dominated by defensive plays on both sides…….veteran pitcher BARRY KAPLAN pitched a stellar game and the catching duo of BRIAN GOLDBERG/ALAN LESSURE didn’t allow a baserunner to advance via a stolen base or passed ball……the game ball ended up in NORM FRANKEL’S pocket as he was a highlight reel at 3B, which included a 5-4-3 doubleplay…….the victors look to improve to 2-0 next week when they battle the newest team to the league,  TEAM ROSENTHAL…….with the game to be aired on the Fox Sports Networks……..a pre-game show will explore the life of JASON “MVP” FAUST…….don’t miss it!!!!!!

First to report in for the new season is………..HOWARD SCHWARTZ……

TEAM SCHWARTZ and TEAM CRONSTEIN played to a draw after seven innings when the game was suspended due to darkness……veteran GARY “GOPHER” ASKIN was the savior for TEAM SCHWARTZ as he hustled out an infield hit and after advancing to second base, stole not just third base, but home, catching catcher DAN CRONSTIEN and pitcher STEVE EPPSTEIN napping, to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh inning….after the game, SCHWARTZ commented, “Not bad for an ulta cocker.”…..
