ROGER’S HOT CORNER…………

Thursday June 8……..10:31 a.m…….two games to report from last night’s action, however the BLOG wants to start off and say that this blogger endorses the CFL BLOG…..it comes up with some good material and is fun to read….keep up the good work, but you will NEVER EVER be a class with ROGER’S HOT CORNER!!!!!!!…..back to play last night….TEAM SILVERMAN knocked off the struggling TEAM CRONSTEIN, 13-5, as captain RYAN SILVERMAN reports a true team effort with every player collecting at least one hit….the defensive web gem was turned in by the ROCKET, when he ranged into the hole at SS and threw out the speedy MATT STEINBERG….hitting stars included….JOHNNY “CUETO” BERG, including a triple (what speed) and SILVERMAN, with a multi-hit game including a homerun….BERG pitched another gem….also of note, DAVID “EDDIE MURRAY” SNYDER, a rightie, had a hit batting left-handed and SILVERMAN claims this is a first in league history……I DON’T THINK SO!!!!!!!, but RON ROSE would know…..in the other reported game, TEAM LOOOOOOON is off to a good second half start with a 8-4 victory over yet another struggling team, TEAM KIRZNER,…..DAVE SHOTT ripped a three-run homerun and played a stellar outfield, while brother BEN hit a triple and NEIL SICHEL had a key double….BOB PELBERG pitched a solid game as the defense played well behind him and with the return of MARK NEWMAN, the team is 2-0…….hmmmmmmmm interesting!!!!!!….also, a triple play was reportedly recorded for TEAM EPPSTEIN over TEAM GUTTMAN, but NO official word in on it yet…..NO TRADE RUMORS HAVE BEEN IN THE AIR, BUT THERE IS STILL TIME…….HINT??????…….in another BIG game last night….the JCC BLUE JAYS, a team of ten-year olds, coached by MARK GORDON, MIKE CREEMER, ROGER “ROGZILLA” ROSENTHAL and BRAD WAGNER (not in attendance) lost in the first game in the city tournament, 10-0,….next scheduled game in the two and out tournament is Sunday at 1 p.m. in Mason….for more information, contact one of the coaches….questons/comments to r.rosenthal@fuse.net …..

CFL Reports – Team Eppstein executes a TRIPLE PLAY!

Team Eppstein lost 9-1. But the first ever triple play at “Triple Creek” by a JCC team was completed by Team Eppstein. The ball and bases have been transported by private courier to the “J” to be put in the Men’s Softball Trophy case. Team Schwartz bounces back from last weeks lost to win 19-9 KT had several hits and RBI in the winning clause..Team Loonie wins, Team Kirzner loses. Philly Bob Pelberg pitches a win. Team Lefton had the bye, but several players filled in as subs. But their teams lost! Wow, Team Lefton proves the sum of the individual parts are greater then the whole.

CFL- Rumor has it?

The “Pink Shirt Award” will be awarded for each halfs big loser. Congratulation Team Eppstein.

Congratulations to Team Gritty Grefer for your first half first place finish. Due budget constraints, no trophies this year, oops!

CFL Reports-Team Lefton continues win streak

Team Lefton had complete control over their opponent Wednesday night, winning 5-3.
Brandon Guttman was a “Super-Sub for SS Billy Kahn, who was watching Eric Clapton in concert at Riverbend. All-Star Willy Waxler earned the game ball for his monumental effort both on defense and offense. Pitcher Jim Lefton, had the best control of the year. Walking only 2 and giving up 0nly 2 earned runs in 7 innings.Team Captain Rick Lefton was quoted after the game, “boyz, Gig’s buying the wings”……Team Loonie beat up on Team Eppstein and earned their wings compliments of Steve Eppstein. Team Loonie was waiting patiently at the chicken house for their reward. Team captain Steve Eppstein honored his bet upon his late arrival at the chicken house.
