Orange equals pink when your team loses in the play-in game by 10 runs to the team you beat twice during the regular season.. Team Franklin is the winner of the pink shirt award for 2009. Friday August 28……….5:49 p.m…….STEVE EPPSTEIN reported in a little late, but he did report in only because his team had a HUGE victory over the slumping TEAM WERNICK, 17-16,……….game balls were given to MATT STEINBERG, who hit a big three run homerun in the top of the seventh inning and to SCOTT “SHORTY” ADAMS, who contributed offensively……..kudos also go to BRAD WAGNER (four hits) NORM FRANKEL, JORDAN GUTTMAN and BRANDON GUTTMAN for their offensive and defensive efforts……..as for TEAM WERNICK………JOHNNY BERG had a big day offensively, but the league is starting to catch onto his pitching….rumor has it that captain DAVID WERNICK was going to fly TOM SEAVER into town to give some pointers before Wednesday’s game……….also, WERNICK has told his team NOT to talk to the media about the team or they’ll be fined heavily……….ODDS FOR THE TOURNAMENT TO COME SOON……. r.rosenthal@fuse.net …………..

Thursday August 27….6:41 p.m……JOEL ”SPARKY” FOGEL reports a heartbreaking loss for TEAM FOGEL to TEAM SCHWARTZ, 6-5, as they lost a one run lead in the bottom of the seventh inning…..kudos to BRIAN (NOT GRIFFEY) GOLDBERG who gave TEAM FOGEL the lead in the top of the seventh inning with a homerun….FOGEL reports his team will once again be missing players, but has signed one day contracts to MICHAEL ROTHSTEIN and COREY NORRIS, both from TEAM GREFER…….as part of the agreement, FOGEL must buy GARY GREFER a tilapia sandwich after Wednesday’s game at the usual hangout spot…….FYI….TEAM FRANKLIN (#8 seed) will be the home team vs. TEAM FOGEL (#9 seed) in the play-in game Sunday at 9:30 sharp on field #4……NO ESPN coverage……. throughout the year, your blog writer has received both positive and negative comments about the blog……. if you want them heard (read) on the blog, please send them to me at……… r.rosenthal@fuse.net ………again, GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE TEAMS IN THE TOURNAMENT………

Thursday August 27……….11.04 a.m……….the GUTTMAN BROTHERS…….JORDAN and BRANDON are now officially in the BLOG fan club along with President GREG LEADER……..speaking of JORDAN……check out that tatoo he has on his arm…….nice!!!!!!……..winners last night were TEAMS SCHWARTZ, EPPSTEIN, NEWMAN and LOOOOOOOOOOOON……..in reported action……..TEAM LOOOOOOON came from a 9-3 defecit by scoring 12 runs in the last two innings to defeat TEAM FRANKLIN, 15-11, ………combined with the TEAM WERNICK loss, a coin flip took place after the games to determine the #1 seed in which TEAM WERNICK won……tournament action starts SUNDAY at 9:30 a.m…….with the play-in game between TEAM FOGEL and TEAM FRANKLIN…….rumor has it that TEAM FRANKLIN is going to go shirtless the first time around in the batting order……..so if you want to see captain GIGGY FRANKLIN shirtless, come on out……..for the rest of the seedings and schedule check out the website, courtesy of Commissioner MICHAEL ROTHSTEIN………GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS,,,,,,,,,r.rosenthal@fuse.net…………..
