The victors started the game off with back to back five run innings with several bloop hits and a few
blasts….the offense was led by TYLER STANSBURY’S three hits with included a double and home
run and four RBI’s….RYAN SMALL had three hits to continue his torrid pace……JAMES SWAN,
ADAM CRONSTEIN, TODD WASSERMAN and GROH each had two hits…..
Up 12-2 going to the bottom of the sixth inning, TEAM SCHWARTZ mounted a rally and batted a
round by scoring nine runs to cut the lead to 12-11 paced by a mammoth grand slam by HARRY
MEISNER that landed in the woods on field # 4, a triple by HOWARD SCHWARTZ…..
On the defensive side of the ball, WASSERMAN had two good catches to end the 6th and 7th innings
to preserve the win…..

Led by JASON “THE MAD HUNGARIAN” FAUST and great defense all around, the winners
completely shut down the opposing bats……
FAUST was on his game from the get go by keeping the opposing bats off balance…..
“Mental attitude and concentration are the keys to pitching. ” FAUST said after the game. “Everyone
knows those are my two strong suits.”
The offense was paced by BEN “B-ROD” RODRIGUEZ, JOEL “THE WRATH OF” KAHN, MIKE
CREEPER, rookie PJ SMIAROWSKI and LEON SESERMAN……
On defense the victors flashed the leather with sub ZACH HIUDT, ERIC GRUIN, RILEY ABLE,
and BRAFMAN making plays.
“I’m really proud of JASON for the way he pitched,” the captain said afterwards. “But I’m equally
proud of the entire team effort. No errors, everyone getting a hit, that’s what it’s all about.”
A special shoutout to KYLE GREFER for the best play in the four years I’ve been in the league with a SUPERMAN diving catch to rob KAHN of of extra bases.
“That would have been a Top 10 play on ESPN Sportscaster. An amazing catch, ” said BRAFMAN.

Coming off it’s worst performance of the season last week, a 12-1 loss to TEAM SCHWARTZ,
TEAM LEFTON played their best game of the season…..
It was a total team effort from 1-11 as the offense jumped out with a four run first inning and put the
game away with an 8 run fourth inning……
JIMMY LEFTON pitched in and out jams most of the game, but was able to get out of each one
including a bases loaded one out situation when he coaxed the batter to hit a come backer in which he
threw to home for the force and DAVID SOLOMON completed the double play by throwing to first
base……
Everyone in the line-up had at least one hit and a few had multiple hits….they were DAVID
WERTHEIM, MIKE ROTHSTEIN, SCOTT BERGE, JIMMY LEFTON, MIKE KAHAN, ALEX
LEFTON, RICK LEFTON, SOLOMON, ROSENTHAL, EDDIE GALLOP and son BRAD
GALLOP…….
On defense, RICK LEFTON had the play of the game with a running catch over the 2B bag…….
The game ball went to SOLOMON for performing well behind the dish and coming up with some
key base knocks………

The victors withstood a rally in the bottom of the 7th inning as pitcher DAN GREEN held on to notch
the victory…….
The Philadelphia native also was a key offensive weapon going 3 for 3 with four runs scored winning
his second consecutive game ball……a second game ball was awarded to rookie JON SMITH who
showed cat-like instincts at third base and the showed his hitting skills by going 3 for 4………
