TEAM WEISSER CONTINUES ITS’ WINNING WAYS……..

TEAM WEISSER jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the opening frame only to have TEAM SCHWARTZ tie the game in the middle innings, but in the end, the first half winners scored the next five runs and won the game, 9-5….
MARK WEISSER came back from a week off and pitched a masterful game with the help of a solid defensive effort which has been the calling card for this team all year…..WES WOLF played a stellar SS…..ROGER ROSENTHAL played well at 2B…….RYAN SMALL, normally a first baseman, made two nice plays in the outfield and finally permanent sub, GRIFFIN HARRIS, son of veteran DEE HARRIS, played well in his first game, replacing FREDDIE WOLF in LCF…..

On the offensive end, WES WOLF had two home runs and brother TYLER WOLF had one of his own and finally HARRIS got on base all three times in the leadoff spot…..

Kudos also goes out to DUFF WOLF who did an admirable job behind the plate in the heat…….

*TEAM WEISSER EKES OUT WIN OVER TEAM LEFTON……..

TEAM WEISSER let a four run lead disappear, but was able to defeat TEAM LEFTON, 9-7, thanks in a large part to SAM HELDMAN and BRAD WAGNER……

After leading 7-3, TEAM LEFTON plated four runs in the top of the fifth inning to tie the game only to have WAGNER hit a two out triple to put his team on top 8-7 and then scored on a bad throw from the outfield….earlier in the game, HELDMAN hit a bases loaded double to give his team the early lead…..

Other key contributors were TYLER WOLF, who pitched another stellar game in place of the absent MARK WEISSER and came up with some key base knocks…..RYAN SMALL broke out of his mini slump with two hits and WES WOLF played a solid SS once again highlighted by snaring a line drive and turning it into a double play…..ROGER ROSENTHAL played a solid 2B as well…….

On a side note……FREDDIE WOLF is off the rest of the season due to a trip to Israel and later onto law school, but ended his season by once again playing a solid LCF and contributing on the offensive side…..TEAM WEISSER will miss him, but will have a very capable GRIFF HARRIS take over….

**TEAM GREFER NOTCHES TEN RUN WIN OVER TEAM WEISBROT……

TEAM GREFER defeated TEAM WEISBROT, 17-6, in a ten run game…..it was a total team effort and the bats finally woke up with notable contributors being NICK DEPIANO, DAVID WERTHEIM and JAMIE KURTZER……WERTHEIM earned MVP Of The Game as he also turned a bare handed double play at 2B…….
