The 2015 Cincinnati JCC Softball League end of the season banquet was this evening and in this blogger’s opinion was the best ever!!!!!

Kudos go out to Commissioner BRAD WAGNER and the Commission…..MIKE CREEMER…..RICK LEFTON and GREG “GIG” FRANKLIN………

After a one hour Happy Hour, dinner was served by new head chef LENNY LOEB and boy was it good!!!!!

The guest speaker, JON WARDEN, member of the 1968 WORLD CHAMPION DETROIT TIGERS, had stories about his playing and coaching days as well as some off the wall humor. He had the audience laughing at some of his stories……

After about a thirty minute talk, the awards were given out and the following were the winners……

The season in review was up next and GREG “GIG” FRANKLIN did a great job as always with help from JEFF “DUFF” WOLF…….during it was a fantastic tribute to RON ROSE who is expected to retire after a long illustrious career……

In summary, it was a great time and we can’t wait until the words “play ball” are yelled again……

Registration for next season should be starting up soon so be ready for sign-ups……

I’d like to thank those captains for giving me recaps on your games and look forward to doing this again…….

Just a reminder that the end of the season softball banquet will be held this Sunday Nov. 8 starting with a Happy Hour at 5 p.m. at the JCC…..it is free and only open to the league and invited guests….Please RSVP to COMMISSIONER BRAD WAGNER or MIKE CREEMER if you haven’t already…..Hope to see everyone there for a good time and good food and some special “treats”…..

SOFTBALL BANQUET……

The end of the year banquet has been scheduled for Sunday November 8 at the JCC with the first pitch at 5:00 p.m.…..more details will be made available concerning guest speaker…..STAY TUNED!!!!

The 2015 JCC softball season is now officially over…….

The all-star game was played under ideal weather conditions at the old Roselawn Park last night and the team captained by JERRY KIRZNER and RON  ROSE defeated the team captained by SCOTT WOLF and RICK LEFTON, 3-1,……YES THAT’S RIGHT!!!!!

MVP honors went to KEN GROH (TEAM ROSE) as he and STEVE EPPSTEIN (TEAM FOGEL) had but one run scored against them…….

CONGRATULATIONS GO OUT ONE MORE TIME TO……..
