CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO THE WOLF FAMILY ON THE PASSING OF THEIR MOTHER/GRANDMOTHER…….AS A RESULT, THE GAME INVOLVING TEAM WEISSER AND TEAM LEFTON HAS BEEN CANCELLED THIS WEDNESDAY AND WILL BE MADE UP AT A LATER DATE……

In the better Late Than Never Dept……TEAM WAGNER reported their stats in their 12-11 loss to TEAM WEISSER……..hitting leaders were captain BRAD WAGNER, 3 for 4…..PETE SOLTESZ, 3 for 4 and JASON FAUST, 3 for 4……..a last inning comeback was avoided when FAUST, hit a pop-up to end the game with the tying and go ahead runs on base……

TO: MEMBERS OF THE JCC SOFTBALL LEAGUE

TEAM SCHWARTZ defeated TEAM ROSENTHAL in a game that the wind had a big role.
Nonetheless, hitting stars for the victors were rookie SS DAN GILBERT, nephew of NORMAN FRANKEL and former Wyoming High School great, ANDY HELDMAN, who seems to never get old,  LARRY NEWMAN, who was showing off for his son, ZACH, visiting from Arizona, the bearded one, ALAN LESSURE and super sub MATT STEINBERG……
On defense, ZACH SWADNER made two nice catches in the outfield while grandfather RON ROSE looked on and cheered his team onto victory…….ROSE didn’t get into game action, but hopefully will see the field before too long…..

For TEAM ROSENTHAL, the outfielders saw their fair share of dropped balls due to the windy conditions, but vowed to come back strong the rest of the season……….

TEAM WEISBROT defeated TEAM CRONSTEIN, 22-10, behind an offensive onslaught…….after falling behind, 6-4, after one inning, the bats caught fire and the defense picked up behind winning pitcher STEVE ZAWATSKY…….TAYLOR SCHWARTZ went 5 for 5 including the “cycle”….. ALBERT WESIBROT, the team doctor, collected four hits including a two-run double……EVAN COHEN went 2 for 4 including the first legit homerun over the fence……others with multiple hit games were DAVE COHEN, TODD WASSERMAN, RICK TENENHOLTZ, ZAWATZKY……I thought pitchers couldn’t hit????, JEFF WEISBROT and sub DANIEL HIUDT……which Hiudt is he?……..
