TEAM BRAFMAN CONTINUES ROLL……..TEAM GREFER NOTCHES VICTORY…..
*TEAM BRAFMAN overcame the absence of their top two picks, SS WES WOLF and LCF
PATRICK ‘BUN BUN” FELDMAN, as they defeated TEAM HIUDT, 16-13, to stay undefeated in
the second half…..
Everyone contributed with at least two hits, but a special shout out goes to old timer NORM
FRANKEL who had three hits and played a nice SS……DAVID “BP” SNYDER also had three hits
including a triple and not to be overlooked was the MEAT OF THE ORDER made up of SCOTT
WOLF, DUFFY WOLF, DAVID WEIL, DAVE “THE MINISTER OF FUN” COHEN and finally
STEVE “AQUAMAN” EPPSTEIN, who outraced the sun to score the final run of the game…..
“Playing without Wes and Pat, we knew we had to all step up and play well and that is exactly what
we did, ” BRAFMAN said in his post game comments in front of the media……”While we hit the ball
well, the turning point in the game was DAVE COHEN beating out an infield single to keep our top
of the sixth inning going. That play helped kick start our comeback and shows the grit and heart of
our team.” BRAFMAN concluded.
A special mention goes out to GREG HARRIS for his aggressive third base coaching and manning
the hot corner like a pro……
QUOTE OF THE GAME……….”We must be butter because we are on a roll,” a happy COHEN stated
after the game……
**TEAM GREFER defeated TEAM WEISSER, 8-7, in an eight inning affair…..the MVP goes to
ROBERT PELBERG who pitched a great game, made some tough defensive plays and had the game
winning walk-off hit…..other notables were JEFF WEISBROT, back from his journey in the
Maccabbia Games with three hits….BEN SANDOR with a great defensive play at 1B….ALBERT
WEISBROT with a key double and finally ALEX KRAUS with a lead off triple and scoring the
winning run……
