TEAM GREFER, fueled by a 12-run inning, clinched the second half title with a convincing win over TEAM WEISBROT, 13-2……the blast of the game was delivered by RICK TENENHOLTZ who hit a triple over the LCF head….another great pitching performance from MIKE GRAY was aided by strong defense especially when rookie MARK TENENHOLTZ threw a strike to his father to nail a runner at the plate…..KYLE GREFER also provided a highlight catch in the outfield….

After the game, captain DANNY GREFER commented, “Now that we’ve clinched the second half championship, we’re looking to continue the momentum as the playoffs near.”…..

TEAM ROSE clinched the #1 seed with a 16-5 victory over TEAM LEFTON as KEN GROH continued to pitch well and the defense behind him was solid and the hitting finally, after a two week absence, came alive…..GARY ASKIN provided the “big” hit with a huge bases loaded double to help break a tight game open….RANDY BROYLES, in a mild slump, got his hitting stroke back and overall the team looked like the team they were prior to the two game losing streak…..

All-Star Game voting started last night…..so if you haven’t voted yet, please contact your captain…..

WINNERS FROM TONIGHT……GREFER….GUTTMAN….ROSE…..WEISSER….

ALSO, TEAM GUTTMAN defeated TEAM HIUDT in the completion of their first half game when JOSH FRANKEL hit a walk-off home run and then in the second half game, hit another home run on his next at bat…..this is believe to be a JCC record……two home runs in two consecutive plate appearances in two different games…..

CONGRATS go out to TEAM GREFER for winning the second half championship and to TEAM ROSE for capturing the #1 seed in the upcoming tournament…..

The play-in game is set with #8 seed TEAM LEFTON hosting #9 seed TEAM HIUDT with the winner advancing to play #1 seed TEAM ROSE……
