Sunday August 2……..9:31 p.m…….an update on JOEL FOGEL’S injury is that he broke his left wrist NOT his right in an attempt at a diving catch in the top of the 7th inning in TEAM FOGEL’S 6-3 victory over TEAM WERNICK…..he was taken to Bethesda North Hospital and reports surgery might be required after a follow-up visit to an othopedist……in other action, winners included TEAM KIRZNER, TEAM LOOOOOOOON and TEAM EPPSTEIN…….IN THE GAME OF THE WEEK WEDNESDAY, TEAM LOOOOOOON and TEAM EPPSTEIN hook up in a game that could determine the second half champion…….TEAM EPPSTEIN, 4-1, lost to TEAM LOOOOOON, 3-1, by a score of 6-3, in the first half and are out for revenge…….both captains ANTON LOOOOOOON ( Monday) and STEVE EPPSTEIN (Tuesday) will be guests on Pardon The Interruption with hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon grilling each with questions….meanwhile, both captains were spotted Sunday afternoon at the Blue Ash Recreation Center pool and exchanged handshakes and good luck wishes, but we all know once the game starts, the friendship will end……this reporter was trying to get some comments about the game from both captains, but each didn’t want to post any bulletin board talk…….instead LOOOOOOOON was boasting that he thought his team was the best team in the league, while this reporter was asking who had the better overall record in which LOOOOOOOOON replied, “We’ll see at the end of the season”……this reporter wanted to bet a dinner, but was blindsided by LOOOOOOOON when he said he didn’t want to bet NOT because he lacked confidence in his team, but he didn’t want to have dinner with me!!!!!!!……..hahaha……. r.rosenthal@fuse.net…………….
Sparky Fogel catches a bad break!
Sparky Fogel broke his right wrist while trying to catch a shinking line-drive. Joel was in a trmendous amount of pain, (as would be expected). His family Doctor, 1stB Dr Albert Weisbrot was on the scene immediatley, along with Dr Glassman and Dr. Pelberg. All assisted in Sparky’s injury until the emergencey squad arrived to take Sparky to B North for treatment. A full recovery is expected, plenty of candy will help!

Sunday August 2………12:27 p.m……..the first game to report in was a come-from-behind victory for TEAM FOGEL over TEAM WERNICK, 6-3…….the victors trailed 3-1 going into the bottom of the 6th inning, but plated five runs to earn the victory……kudos to pitcher JAN BECKER who allowed all three runs on sacrifice flyouts……one other note……captain JOEL FOGEL suffered an injury to his wrist and had to leave the game in the top of the 7th inning……here’s to a quick recovery!!!!!!…….more game action to report when it comes into the press room……..r.rosenthal@fuse.net…….

Thursday July 30…….10:07 p.m…….more information about the USC/Ohio State football tickets……the game is on Saturday September 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Ohio Stadium……there are cousins of mine that have set up a fund for their daughter that passed away a few years ago of cancer and the last couple of years have had a raffle for tickets to an Ohio State football game……tickets for the raffle are $20.00 each or 6 for $100.00…….if interested please contact me at r.rosenthal@fuse.net for more details and where to send the check……..it’s for a good cause and a chance to get tickets for a HOT sporting event come September……..
