Thursday August 13………..11:19 a.m……..victories last night went to TEAM LOOOOOOON, TEAM WERNICK, TEAM SCHWARTZ and TEAM GREFER……….TEAM LOOOOOOOON took a BIG step in securing the second half championship by defeating TEAM KIRZNER 13-1, as once again BARRY KAPLAN was at the top of his game and the defense played well behind him……..JARED GOLDFARB played in his final game as he is off to Israel to be replaced by brother JARED……..Good Luck JARED!!!!…..in other reported action……TEAM WERNICK knocked off TEAM FRANKLIN, 12-3, in all but securing the best record overall and the #1 seed in the upcoming tournament……..the victors fell behind 2-0 in the top of the first inning, but responded with a six spot in the bottom of the inning and behind JOHN BERG’S spectacular pitching and a solid defense was able to pull away…….it was a total team effort as everyone played a part in the win…….JOEL TSEVAT returned from a two game hiatus and made a spectacular play at 2B and ALAN COHEN played a solid 2B as well….it looks like super-utility player ROGER ROSENTHAL will never see that position again…….all-star voting started last night soif you didn’t vote, contact your captain…….. r.rosenthal@fuse.net ……..

Thursday August 13…….3:23 p.m………good news from last night…….JOEL FOGEL was back with wrist in a cast to manage his team…….bad news was it was another loss…….this time to TEAM GREFER, 16-13, …….two bad innings produced 11 runs for TEAM GREFER…….bright spots were ANDY COHEN getting on base three times and SETH GUTTMAN was 4 for 5…….not so bright spot was DAVID ”DEE” HARRIS on the mound pitching again for the absent JAN BECKER, however he seemed OK after the game at dinner…… r.rosenthal@fuse.net ………

Thursday August 6……9:41 p.m…….reports in from TEAM KIRZNER’S 11-7 victory over TEAM FOGEL……..captain JOEL FOGEL is out for the season with a broken wrist suffered last Sunday morning……here’s to a speedy recovery…..SCOTT KOTZIN had three hits including a grandslam……..RYAN KIRZNER was a perfect 4 for 4, while ADAM CRONSTEIN had three hits…… r.rosenthal@fuse.net……….
