TEAM WAGNER knocked off TEAM WEISSER, 16-10, behind the hitting and pitching of JASON FAUST…..among his feats were strikeouts of the 2, 3 and 4 hitters in TEAM WEISSER’s line-up and going 4 for 4 at the plate…..PETE SOLTESZ played a solid LCF and hit a grand slam after opposing pitcher MARK WEISSER decided to intentionally walk MIKE ROTHSTIEN to load the bases only to have it backfire……other hitting stars were the ageless wonder, TED KANTOR, ROTHSTEIN, MIKE KADETZ (NO spring chicken), BRAD WAGNER and JAMES SWAN…..
TEAM WAGNER tries to continue their winning ways as they square off against TEAM WEISBROT with the game on a tape delay on WTKO, Tokyo’s ABC affiliate……

In a battle of the two top teams, TEAM GUTTMAN defeated TEAM LEFTON, 13-3, to take over the top spot for best record in the league……MIKE “PAINT THE BLACK” GRAY continued his stellar year by keeping the potent TEAM LEFTON offense OFF BALANCE and another defensive performance was turned in, led by DOUG SANDOR and DREW BROWN……hitting stars included BEN SANDOR, BROWN, DOUG SANDOR, DAVID SOLOMON, PAT “THE FAT PAT” FELDMAN (HR) and JACK “FLASH” COHEN who hasn’t made an out in about a month according to team captain BRANDON GUTTMAN…..
Three other games were played, but apparently the winning captains are all on “vacation” and haven’t reported as of yet………
TIDBITS…….All-star voting was held this past week for all the teams except for TEAM LEADER (bye)……they’ll vote at the next game…….Teams will be announced by the COMMISSION at a later date……STAY TUNED…….

TEAM WAGNER defeated TEAM LEADER, 10-9, thanks in a large part to one BRAD “THE SAY HEY KID” WAGNER……the captain made what some are calling one of the best catches in JCC softball league history, an over the shoulder catch off the bat of ANTON LOOOOOOOOOOON, to save the tying and perhaps the go ahead runs from scoring in the top of the 7th inning……MIKE ROTHSTEIN also provided some nice defense as well, while JAMES SWAN, SAM HELDMAN and PETE SOLTESZ had big hits to propel the offense……
