First team reporting in is…….TEAM LEADER, as acting captain ANTON LOON, brother in law to captain GREG “THE SPIDERMAN” LEADER, out of action for the game, reports that pitcher JAMEY KURTZER continued to “mow down the opposition on the mound” and was backed by flawless defense in a 19-5 rout of TEAM LEFTON, still winless……offensively, DAVID WERTHEIM, with his father, Marc, better known as Marcel, in attendance, COREY SCHWARTZ, and sub GRIFFIN HARRIS, son of old timer DAVID “DEE” HARRIS, had key hits…..

TEAM ROSE continued their winning ways with a 25-9 victory over TEAM GREFER, their fourth ten-run rule game in as many games…..hitting stars were aplenty as everyone got into the act…..MICHAEL ROTHSTEIN finally got his bat going with four hits including a home run that was drilled to right centerfield…..MICHAEL ASKIN, ZACK SWADNER, KEN GROH, RANDY BROYLES, a strong candidate for Rookie of the Year honors, RYAN SILVERMAN, GARY ASKIN and MARC SIMONS all had big hits in the rout…..only ROGER ROSENTHAL did NOT have a hit and reports are that either he pick it up on his overall play or he might be shipped to the minors or worse yet just released……….
It should also be noted that HOWARD GOLDWASSER had a fine game with two hits and caught two balls in right field for TEAM GREFER…..

Captain JOEL FOGEL, still on the DL, reports in that his team is now 3-0 after a 9-4 victory over TEAM GUTTMAN…..game balls went to SCOTT BERGE who had two hits and played an incredible third base with several web gems and DAVID “DEE” HARRIS, who was four for four at the plate with four RBI’s and two stolen bases…..also of note, STEVE “I LOST 30 POUNDS” EPPSTEIN pitched another great game….

Next week, a huge game pits TEAM FOGEL, 3-0, against TEAM ROSE, 4-0….it should be noted that TEAM ROSE has produced four ten-run games in as many games, but will be tested by the wily EPPSTEIN……

The game is scheduled for a 6:16 p.m. start and will be aired on ESPN with STEVE JARNICKI and DAVE WERNICK doing the play by play and color respectively…..Also of note, the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a ROGER ROSENTHAL bobble head…..
