TEAM GREFER defeated TEAM HIUDT, 18-8, as the offense was led by rookie MARK TENENHOLTZ and his multiple shots to the fence…..father RICK TENENHOLTZ, BRUUUUUUUUUUUUCE YOUNGER and HOWARD GOLDWASSER also chipped in with line drive hits all over the lot….MIKE GRAY pitched another great game in spite of DAN GREFER committing multiple errors (he said it) that led to at least three runs……Game Ball went to the skin doctor DR. BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE ……..On the other side, EVAN COHEN hit well and played stellar defense……Of Note……..ALLEN COHEN pitched in the absence of the injured BARRY KAPLAN for TEAM HUIDT………
TEAM WEISBROT knocked off TEAM GUTTMAN, 17-6, in a shortened six inning game……..as mentioned in an earlier post, the SANDOR BOYS, son BENJY and father DOUG, connected on a perfect eight for eight from the plate……..can we spell I N V E S T I G A T I O N???????……PETE SOLTESZ had a home run and JORDAN EVANS and SCOTT WOLF, both subbing, each had grand slams, while ALBERT WEISBROT, father of captain JEFF WEISBROT, had three hits…..solid defense and strong pitching by STU WEINSTEIN also contributed to the victory……Of Note……..TEDDY KANTOR didn’t play as he had an excused absence and this blogger can’t remember the last time he didn’t play………
Finally, TEAM FOGEL continued their winning ways with a 7-6 victory over the slump ridden TEAM LEFTON, but it wasn’t easy…….after jumping out to a 7-0 lead after two innings, TEAM LEFTON, behind a two run home run off the bat of MATT STEINBERG, crept back to within 7-6 and had the bases loaded with two outs in the top of the 7th inning, however the wily veteran STEVE “I’VE LOST 30 POUNDS” EPPSTEIN got ALEX LEFTON to fly out to end the game…….Game
Ball went to Wyoming High School legend, DAN GILBERT, who had two hits and played a stellar 3B…….
