*TEAM LEADER and TEAM WEISSER HEADED FOR SHOWDOWN…….

**PLAY-IN GAME TEAMS ARE SET…..

TEAM LEADERLESS defeated TEAM LEFTON, 12-5, once again ANTON LOOOOOOOOOOON directed the team in the absence of GREG LEADER…DOUG SANDOR led the way on both offense and defense and received the game ball……JORDAN SLUTSKY hit a home run to aid the win….

AMY BROYLES and GALITE SILVERMAN were seen in the player’s wives section of the bleachers…..SILVERMAN was glowing after it was revealed that her an husband RYAN SILVERMAN won an egg tossing contest over the weekend…..

Said RYAN through a steady stream of tears, “I have never been more proud of my wife.”

In another 12-5 game, TEAM WEISSER defeated TEAM CRONSTEIN in a total team effort as both WES WOLF and brother TYLER WOLF each hit home runs and after a shaky first inning defensively, played a solid defense the rest of the way led by WES WOLF at SS and ROGER ROSENTHAL at 2B…..Super Sub GRIFF HARRIS filled in again with a big game as he caught everything in LCF and contributed a home run (predicted by ROSENTHAL)…..

The victors played without TEDDY KANTOR (illness) and SCOTT WOLF (injury), but here’s hoping they get well real soon and be back on the field…….

The wins by LEADER and WEISSER set up a deciding game to win the second half title in two weeks…..it is the suspended game in which the score was 0-0 after 2 1/2 innings with LEADER coming to bat………

The play-in game is set……..TEAM FOGEL is the #9 seed and will play at TEAM LEFTON, the #8 seed…..

TEAM WEISSER CONTINUES ITS’ WINNING WAYS……..

TEAM WEISSER jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the opening frame only to have TEAM SCHWARTZ tie the game in the middle innings, but in the end, the first half winners scored the next five runs and won the game, 9-5….
MARK WEISSER came back from a week off and pitched a masterful game with the help of a solid defensive effort which has been the calling card for this team all year…..WES WOLF played a stellar SS…..ROGER ROSENTHAL played well at 2B…….RYAN SMALL, normally a first baseman, made two nice plays in the outfield and finally permanent sub, GRIFFIN HARRIS, son of veteran DEE HARRIS, played well in his first game, replacing FREDDIE WOLF in LCF…..

On the offensive end, WES WOLF had two home runs and brother TYLER WOLF had one of his own and finally HARRIS got on base all three times in the leadoff spot…..

Kudos also goes out to DUFF WOLF who did an admirable job behind the plate in the heat…….
