CONGRATS TO TEAM WEISSER FOR SECOND HALF TITLE!!!!!!

TEAM WEISSER, behind the pitching of MARK WEISSER and the once again solid defense by the entire team, defeated TEAM LEADER, 5-2 to capture the second half title….
MVP top candidate WES WOLF contributed with a key two run home run to add to a late lead…..

They completed the season with a 15-1 record and won both halves……the only blemish was a 5-4 loss to TEAM HIUDT in the second half……

The other winners were…..FOGEL/CRONSTEIN…..HIUDT/WEISBROT…..GREFER/SCHWARTZ…..

The play-in game is scheduled for this Sunday between #8 seed TEAM FOGEL and #9 TEAM LEFTON on Field  # 4 at 9:30 a.m….

The first round games are scheduled for August 17……6:15 p.m……

FOGEL/LEFTON winner at #1 seed WEISSER……Field # 2
#7 seed SCHWARTZ at #2 seed LEADER…………..Field # 4

WEISBROT was named to the 2017 USA MASTERS softball team……in the MACCABI GAMES to be played in Israel…………WAY TO GO JEFF!!!!!!

TEAM WEISSER AND TEAM LEADER PLAY FOR SECOND HALF TITLE……

TEAMS LEADER and WEISSER both recorded victories this week to set up a winner take all in the second half…..
The game, which was the first game of the second half, was suspended with the score 0-0 and TEAM LEADER batting in the bottom of the third inning…….

In action Wednesday night, TEAM WEISSER defeated TEAM WEISBROT, 8-7, in thrilling fashion as they came back from a 7-3 deficit to scored two runs in the sixth inning and three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to grab the win……Key hits by MARK WEISSER, SAM HELDMAN and ROGER ROSENTHAL along with a sac fly by MARK LEVINE and a lead-off hit by pitch to BRAD WAGNER fueled the end of the game heroics……
It should also be noted that WES WOLF, SCOTT WOLF, DUFF WOLF, TYLER WOLF and super sub GRIFF HARRIS all contributed as well on both sides of the field and finally, RYAN SMALL made a PLAY OF THE GAME catch in RCF as well as a key sac fly and TEDDY KANTOR was 1 for 1 with a walk…….TOTAL TEAM EFFORT!!!!!!!
