(SOLOMON) and sub KEN GROH (GREFER)….

JORDAN SLUTZKY gets the MVP of the game as he filled in admirably at SS for JEFF

WEISBROT…..

Also, AARON COMPTON made return to the league as a sub and played a “smooth” 3B……

IN ACTION LAST NIGHT……

TEAM GROH defeated TEAM BRAFMAN, 13-5……the game started on the wrong foot for the

victors however, as PATRICK FELDMAN helped give his team a 3-1 lead with two RBI’s in the

bottom of the first inning……the victors bounced back with their only good inning against crafty

veteran STEVE “AQUAMAN” EPPSTEIN as they collected ten hits and had 11 hitters get on base

and scored to break the game open…..GROH, SCOTT FRIEND, DAN GILBERT and sub PETE

SOLETZ paced the attack with three hits each……a strong defense behind GROH didn’t allow

BRAFMAN to attempt a comeback…….

OF NOTE……rookie AARON LINN of TEAM GROH is out with a torn ACL……Here’s hoping for a

full and speedy recovery……

In other games…..

ZAC HIUDT reports…..

TEAM HIUDT defeated TEAM WEISSER, 5-1, as MIKE GRAY pitched an amazing game and lost

the shutout bid in the 7th inning…..YITZ CREEPER and SCOTT “SHORTY” ADAMS kept their hot

bats going and TYLER STANSBURY had a double, triple and a long sac fly scoring HIUDT from

second base in a collision at home plate…..

After the game, HIUDT commented, “Thats’ two wins in a row and looking to keep this streak

going.”

In other action, TEAM SCHWARTZ, after losing their first game, won their fourth straight as

they knocked off TEAM SOLOMON, 19-7 in a six inning affair…….it was a total team effort on both

offense and defense, but special kudos go out to ALAN LESSURE and ROGER ROSENTHAL as

they came up with some timely plate appearances at the tail end of the batting order…….ZAC

SWADNER and RYAN SMALL had big hits and DAVID WERTHEIM came out of his batting slump

with a couple of base knocks and had a nice catch in LF……

OF NOTE…..GARY FISHER of TEAM SCHWARTZ is out with an injury and his playing status is

still in question……..Here’s hoping a full and speedy recovery……and SMALL was playing in front of

his newborn baby for the first of many times…..
