CONGRATS TO JEFF WEISBROT!!!!!!!!!

Our own JEFF WEISBROT finally has his trophy/medal!!!!!!……it took him years and years and he

had to go to Israel to get it, but he did it in a BIG way…..

As a member of the USA fast pitch softball team in his age bracket, the red, white and blue won the

gold medal in the Maccabiah Games Sunday….

Special kudos also go out to KEN GROH who posted it via Facebook and kept everyone up to date

on what was going on…..

*TEAM SCHWARTZ BLANKS TEAM GREFER……

Behind the pitching of HOWARD SCHWARTZ and the almost flawless defense, TEAM

SCHWARTZ defeated a depleted TEAM GREFER, 6-0,……

The game was close with both SCHWARTZ and GARY GREFER, pitching his first game in a long

time, keeping the runs off the board, but in the middle innings, the victors took advantage of some

wildness and hits to expand the lead……

DAVID SOLOMON had perhaps his best game of the year at the plate, while also calling a great

game…..DAVID “I DON’T LIKE WALKS” WERTHEIM drew three walks as everyone got into the

offense…..

Defensively, two plays that stood out were from WERTHEIM in LF and ZACH SWADNER in

LCF…….

The contest was also the return of MICHAEL ROTHSTEIN, who just got back with wife Linda, from

a lengthy cruise that had him miss the last four games……

“I would check the blog about the time the games were to end to see if we had won or not,”

ROTHSTEIN stated…..that’s a team player!!!!!

*TEAM GROH FALLS TO TEAM BRAFMAN…….

Captain KEN GROH reports……

In a match-up between two 1-0 teams, TEAM GROH lost to TEAM BRAFMAN, 16-10…..they were

led by GILBERT brothers, DAN and NOAH……six total base hits and four runs scored……DAN had

had a double while brother NOAH had a triple and his third home run of the season…..RYAN BAUM

was 2 for 4 with a a triple and RBI, while GROH went 2 for 2 with two walks and scored three

times……..
