In a battle for first place, TEAM GREFER avenged their first half loss to TEAM ROSE by defeating them 11-4…..a phenomenal pitching performance from MIKE GRAY and great defense summed up the game…..the game ball honors went to 2014 Rookie of the Year PAT FELDMAN who played flawless defense and hit a home run……the newly married MICAH KAMRASS also had some big hits along with some key defensive plays including an amazing diving catch that seemed to change the momentum of the game….
Afterwards, captain DAN GREFER commented, “It was another whole team effort for us as the stars of the game seem to change each week.”

As for TEAM ROSE, seemingly breezing through the season has hit a bump and have lost two games in a row and haven’t looked good in either game….STAY TUNED!!!!

First to report in is TEAM WEISSER…….they defeated TEAM WEISBROT 14-0 as MARK WEISSER pitched a three hitter…..SCOTT WOLF, the ageless wonder, had two triples….FREDDIE and WESTON WOLF played flawless defense as did the rest of the team and MARK “WILDER” FRANKLIN, playing in his last game of the season had a “key” hit….

Please forgive my tardiness for the week in review…….we moved yesterday and things have  been a little hectic….

WINNERS………LEADER….LEFTON…..WEISBROT….WEISSER….

RECAPS…..

TEAM LEFTON, a.k.a. THE GREEN MACHINE, defeated TEAM GUTTMAN, 11-1, as “WEEZE” LEFTON played an around great game on the field and at the plate…..he went four for four and had three runs scored….STEVE ZAWATZKY (3B) and JIMMY LEFTON were strong in the field…..

TEAM WEISSER defeated TEAM FOGEL, 9-4, as TYLER WOLF belted two two-run home runs…..MARK “WILDER” FRANKLIN contributed with a double……

TEAM WEISBROT pulled an upset by defeating TEAM ROSE in convincing fashion, 17-7, JEREMY CANTOR had three hits….BENJY SANDOR had a key two out two run double….TED KANTOR had a big two out RBI single and captain JEFF WEISSBROT may have had the game of the year as he wasn’t retired all game and made all the plays at SS….great defense was a key as DOUG SANDOR at 3B and STU WEINSTEIN on the mound had Play of the Game-type plays…..
After the game, TEAM ROSE seemed dazed as they lost only their second game of the season, but has little time to pout as they have TEAM GREFER coming up this Sunday with first place on the line…..
