Game Results: June 4, 2015

JOEL “SPARKY” FOGEL is the first captain to report in with his team’s result from last night…..a 12-11 extra inning victory over TEAM HIUDT…..

After getting off to a rough start, giving up six runs in the top of the opening frame, and finding themselves down 11-3 after three innings, the injured duo of FOGEL and WILLIE WAXLER got the team together to try to rally the troops……it worked…..the ageless wonder, STEVE “I LOST 30 POUNDS” EPPSTEIN buckled down and held the opposition to no further scoring while the offense got going to tie the game with the big blow being a two out bases loaded single in the bottom of the 7th inning off the bat of SCOTT “SHORTY” ADAMS….in the 8th inning, the winning run scored when DANNY GILBERT, the pride of WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL, got a one out hit and scored the winning run thanks to a TYLER STANSBURY double….game balls went to EPPSTEIN for shutting the door the last four innings and ADAMS for his two hits and three RBI…..

Acting captain, ANTON LOON, reports in on TEAM LEADER’S 16-10 victory over TEAM WEISBROT…..a balanced offensive attack and solid defense propelled them to victory and set up next week’s winner take all match-up with TEAM ROSE for the first half title….MICHAEL “THE BADGER” MARGOLIS was awarded the game ball with a two hit performance and two nice catches in RF…..crafty JAMIE KURTZER continued his dominating performance on the mound with another solid outing, however the BIG news might be the fact that LOON met with LEADER in a closed door meeting and told him to get himself healthy……for next season……ever heard of WALLY PIPP??????
