TEAM WEISSER improved to 2-0 with a nail-biting 15-14 victory over TEAM SCHWARTZ, 1-2.
WILLIE WAXLER, one of the most underrated players in the league, received the game ball with three hits and five RBI’S, which included a bases loaded clearing triple……..that’s right……a triple for the wily veteran…..super sub MARK NEWMAN contributed with a three run triple, while rookie ZACH MAYER shined on defense by making two outstanding plays to end the game with the tying and winning runs on base…..on the next to last out, ALLAN LESSURE hit the ball right down the 3rd base line that hit the bag and went over 3B DAN GREFER’S head (that is high) and MAYER fielded it and was able to get a force out and on the final out fielded a hard hit ball and got the force to end the game…….

Rumors are flying early in the season that the ownership of TEAM ROSENTHAL are looking into making changes possibly on and off the field……NO comments from players or captain ROGER ROSENTHAL, but they have started the year 0-3 and it would appear that changes could be likely before things really get out of hand…….STAY TUNED!!!!!

TEAM WEISBROT improved to 2-0 with a 8-5 victory over TEAM SCHWARTZ, now 1-1.
The victors jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back behind the strong pitching of STEVE ZAWATZKY and a strong defense led by JEFF WEISBROT and MARK LEVINE, turning two double plays and a key running catch by COREY SCHWARTZ in the outfield.

TEAM LEADER defeated TEAM ROSENTHAL, 13-4, to notch a season opening victory behind the fine pitching of BARRY KAPLAN……..
KAPLAN not only didn’t walk anyone, but collected four hits……MATT STEINBERG went five for five including a head first slide into second base which dirtied his shirt (what else is new?)….the one bright side to TEAM ROSENTHAL was a solo homerun off the bat of DEE HARRIS, which barely alluded the outstreched dive of GREG LEADER……
TEAM ROSENTHAL is off to a slow start at 0-2, but has yet to field the team he drafted…….STAY TUNED……
