Wednesday June 2….9:51 p.m….Games started this evening, but were called after storms swept into the area, however there was one “HIGHLIGHT” reported by “cub” reporter GARY GREFER….veteran softballer TED “BALLGAME” KANTOR celebrated his birthday (how old he is is a secret) with fellow players having him stand (he was helped)on one of the tables and they sang Happy Birthday to him….STAR SIGHTINGS…..it was DR. ROBERT PELBERG in the Blue Ash Memorial Day parade walking down Reed Hartman then Cooper….nice excercise buddy….QUESTION OF THE WEEK….IF YOU WERE TO START A BASEBALL TEAM WHICH PLAYER(PAST/PRESENT)WOULD YOU PICK….ONE REPLY SO FAR AND HE DOESN’T EVEN PLAY IN THE LEAGUE….SEND YOUR ANSWER TO ME….comments/questions….r.rosenthal@fuse.net

Sunday May 30….11:14 a.m…..TEAM GUTTMAN finally reported in with a summary of their 8-4 victory over TEAM CRONSTEIN…..”SUPER” STU WEINSTEIN got the game ball as he pitched a solid game keeping the hitters off balance with his slow, slower and slowest pitches….strong defense, in particular from ANDY IGNATOW and ZAC HIUDT and the strong catching of GARY “JUST” ASKIN helped in the win….”J-ROD” HUIDT led the hitting brigade with power with ASKIN collected two hits and SCOTT “SHORTY” ADAMS added two hits as well….captain BRANDON GUTTMAN proclaimed ASKIN as arguably the best defensive catcher in the history of the JCC softball league….the BLOG wants to know how much ASKIN paid him to say that or what was he smoking, drinking or a combination of both?…..as an added highlight, MOUNT ROGER “ROGZILLA” ROSENTHAL almost exploded thanks to a TEAM GUTTMAN steal attempt late in the game with them up 8-1….security was brought in to secure peace and things were forgotten after the game…..comments/questions…..r.rosenthal@fuse.net…….
