Thursday August 27….6:41 p.m……JOEL ”SPARKY” FOGEL reports a heartbreaking loss for TEAM FOGEL to TEAM SCHWARTZ, 6-5, as they lost a one run lead in the bottom of the seventh inning…..kudos to BRIAN (NOT GRIFFEY) GOLDBERG who gave TEAM FOGEL the lead in the top of the seventh inning with a homerun….FOGEL reports his team will once again be missing players, but has signed one day contracts to MICHAEL ROTHSTEIN and COREY NORRIS, both from TEAM GREFER…….as part of the agreement, FOGEL must buy GARY GREFER a tilapia sandwich after Wednesday’s game at the usual hangout spot…….FYI….TEAM FRANKLIN (#8 seed) will be the home team vs. TEAM FOGEL (#9 seed) in the play-in game Sunday at 9:30 sharp on field #4……NO ESPN coverage……. throughout the year, your blog writer has received both positive and negative comments about the blog……. if you want them heard (read) on the blog, please send them to me at……… r.rosenthal@fuse.net ………again, GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE TEAMS IN THE TOURNAMENT………

Monday August 24……….3:37 p.m……….I’m 54 years old today!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!……..now onto softball……..the final week is scheduled for Wednesday with seeding in the tournament still up for grabs………the weather report looks good……..STAR SIGHTINGS………BRAD WAGNER was spotted eating dinner at Olive Garden in Deerfield Township Sunday with his honey, Brooke Snyder, and another couple……..don’t know what he ordered, but I’m sure it was healthy…….today, MICHAEL SMALL was spotted eating lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s in Kenwood with a couple of guys…..looked like business…….and yes I don’t know what he ordered either……… HAPPY SOFTBALLING AND GOOD LUCK IN THE TOURNAMENT……… r.rosenthal@fuse.net ………….

Wednesday August 19…..11:07 p.m…….winners Wednesday night were TEAMS SCHWARTZ, FRANKLIN, GREFER and LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON…….CONGRATS to TEAM LOOOOOOOON for capturing the second half championship…….next week is the final regular season game with the one and out tournament scheduled to start Sunday August 30 with the play-in game between the number 8 and 9 seeds…….seedings will be announced after next week’s action………the All-Star game balloting is finished and the All-Stars will be announced at a later date……….r.rosenthal@fuse.net ………..
