In a game that all 12 players contributed at the plate and in the field, TEAM LEFTON continued their winning ways……
After falling behind 2-0 in the opening frame, they stormed back with three runs and never looked back….
Every player had at least one hit, however the big hit came off the bat of BRAD GALLOP, as he hit a gapper that found its’ way to the fence for a grand slam…..the soon to be University of Cincinnati freshman came up with the bases loaded again, however his line drive was caught…..
The game ball was presented to JEFF “LITTLE FINK” FINKELSTEIN, but he flipped it to GALLOP in a nice tribute saying, “I’ve got enough game balls in my great career and don’t need anymore. I thought Brad deserved it. I think he’ll get quite a few more game balls before he calls it a career.”
Also of note, MICHAEL KAHAN broke out of his batting slump with three hits and later explained, “All the great ones have slumps. I was expecting to get some hits this evening. I felt it in the air.”
One strange play of note happened after the game was out of reach…..the bases were loaded with two outs and BOB PELBERG was the runner on third base when a grounder was hit foul down the third base line, he fielded it before it went past the base and was called for interference……third out……
JIMMY LEFTON pitched another stellar game, but was in a mess in one inning, however the wily veteran reached back for some magic and got out of a bases loaded situation……
“I couldn’t find the strike zone and lost it for a bit, but was able to get my act together. I didn’t want ROGER (ROSENTHAL) yelling at me so I had to get the out to shut him up,” LEFTON said afterwards…….

In a game that had a lot of offense, but little defense, TEAM KAMRASS got back in the winning column……
Every player contributed with timely hitting, but the highlight of the game was DAVID “DANCING WITH THE STARS” SOLOMON hitting a monster home run that went at least ten feet beyond the fence…..it was the first of his illustrious career……..
EDITOR’S NOTE…..at press time, SOLOMON was to be drug tested……….
ADAM “VOTTOMATIC” CRONSTEIN added an inside the park park home run when he successfully jumped over the catcher to tag home plate……
BEN “BB” BARNETT fueled a five run two out rally with a key hit as well……
JASON “THE MAD HUNGARIAN” FAUST kept the team in the game through some early defensive struggles with strong pitching, before the bats woke up just in time…..
The captains placed a “friendly” dinner wager prior to the start of the game…..”I’m pleased to report that STUART (SOLOMON) was a man of his word, ” winning captain MICAH KAMRASS said later that night. “I love winning and I love eating. When winning leads to a free meal, there’s just nothing better.”
EDITOR’S NOTE…..NO word on what eatery, KAMRASS was treated to and how much he ordered…..
Of note, in each of the last two games, TEAM KAMRASS has had a player hit his first home run over the fence…..”My fearless prediction is that streak will continue next week against TEAM TAYLOR SCHWARTZ,” KAMRASS stated afterwards……..
