Game Results: August 25, 2016

#1 SEED WEISSER HOLDS OFF #8 SEED FOGEL……

TEAM WEISSER jumped to an early 8-0 lead only to have TEAM FOGEL fight back to take a 9-8 lead thanks to a nine run inning…..TEAM WEISSER responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 13-9 lead and that’s how the game ended…….WES WOLF played a solid SS once again and brother TYLER WOLF played a nice 1B and handled a few low throws to save throwing errors…….on the hitting side…..MARK LEVINE hit a huge two run two out single in the big inning…..WES WOLF……TYLER WOLF…..BRAD WAGNER…..RYAN SMALL…..MARK WEISSER…..GRIFF HARRIS……DUFF WOLF…..SCOTT WOLF……TED KANTOR all contributed with base knocks…….
On a side note……ROGER ROSENTHAL drove captain WEISSER crazy again with his constant chatter……..

# 8 SEED TEAM FOGEL VICTORIOUS OVER # 9 SEED TEAM LEFTON IN PLAY-IN GAME…..

It was a pitchers dual delight between KEN GROH and JIMMY LEFTON, but when the dust settled it was veteran JERRY KIRZNER knocking in two runs with a huge two out base knock and sub JEFF COHEN smacking a two run home run to provide the winning margin in a TEAM FOGEL 4-2 victory over TEAM LEFTON……the winners now will face #1 seed TEAM WEISSER with a three game winning streak and playing their best ball of the season…….
