TEAM GREFER defeated TEAM WAGNER, 11-8, behind key hits from SCOTT “SHORTY” ADAMS and RICK TENNENHOLTZ…..defensively, TENNENHOLTZ, behind the plate, had a few putouts, including the last out of the game when sub JEFF FINKELSTEIN gunned down speedy BRANDON GUTTMAN, and was awarded the Game Ball…..

TEAM SCHWARTZ ten-runned TEAM LEADER as the offense was led by homeruns off the bats of MICHAEL ASKIN and rookie PETE SOLTESZ and a key hit from veteran “oldtimer” STU LAVENDA…..defensively, LF RON “THE ROCKET” NASSIF gunned down GREG LEADER at third base trying to advance on a fly out to complete a double play……LEADER just doesn’t have the wheels he used to have……

The second half and make-up games from the first half schedule has been set…….captains should be in touch with you……..if NOT, contact them and yell at them that you didn’t get it……

First to report in on Sunday’s action is…….surprise……TEAM ROSENTHAL…….behind the fine pitching of JASON “MVP” FAUST and great defense, TEAM ROSENTHAL defeated TEAM ROTHSTEIN, 7-2,…….leading the way on the offensive end was rookie JAMES SWANN, who smacked a two-run homerun, PETE SPOERL, who collected three more hits after doing the feat last game and AARON COMPTON with three base knocks……sub STU WEINSTEIN filled in admirably at 3B…….

ATTENTION…..ALL PLAYERS SHOULD BE GETTING THE REMAINING SCHEDULE FOR THE FIRST HALF AND THE SECOND HALF FROM THEIR CAPTAINS…..IF YOU DON’T, GIVE YOUR CAPTAIN A HEADS UP……

The weather finally co-operated and the games were played……..

First to report in of course is TEAM ROSENTHAL…….behind the nice pitching of JASON “MVP” FAUST, TEAM ROSENTHAL defeated the previously undefeated TEAM GREFER, 12-7, hitting stars were aplenty for the victors as DAN GLASSMAN led the way with a three-run homerun and XAVIER HALL OF FAMER PETE SPOERL collected three hits and was robbed of a fourth hit when he smoked a line drive that was caught by pitcher JAMEY KURTZER……the defense was splendid, save one inning, when captain ROGER “ROGZILLA” ROSENTHAL had a couple of miscues and pulled himself from the game……

NO REPORTS ON ANY OF THE OTHER GAMES AS OF PRESS TIME……

FANS IN THE STANDS……BARRY WAGNER was in attendance to watch newlywed son BRAD WAGNER in action………

For the second consecutive time, the games were interrupted by rain and all four games were suspended.
