Reporting for TEAM WAGNER, captain BRAD WAGNER reports a 20-10 loss to TEAM LEFTON…..the now 2-1 team played against an eight man defense, but was unable to completely expose it as winning pitcher JIMMY LEFTON pitched a great game……TEAM WAGNER will try to get back to their winning ways as they battle undefeated TEAM ROSENTHAL in the ESPN game of the week starting with the pre-game show at 6:30 p.m. with a feature on shortstop AARON COMPTON and the fundamentals of the game of baseball…….

The weather was chilly, but the sun was out for the first Sunday games of the season……in the first game reported in……TEAM ROSENTHAL defeated TEAM CRONSTEIN, 11-8, as JASON “MVP FAUST, with his own fan club consisting of the future MRS. JASON FAUST and father  and retired JCC softballer MARTY FAUST, in the crowd, pitched a masterful game and played stellar defense and was a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate……rookie JAMES “ALL HANDS” SWAN, who collected his first hit last game, collected his first extra base hit as he showed off his power and speed with a ripping tripled to start a six run third inning uprising…..it was a total team effort on offense as everyone except for the captain (what’s his name) collected at least one hit…..TEAM ROSENTHAL battles TEAM WAGNER Wednesday night in the ESPN game of the week with the pre-game show beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a feature on shortstop AARON “THE BRONCO” COMPTON explaining the fundamentals of the game……

TEAM LEADER got back on the winning trail with a 9-4 victory over TEAM ROTHSTEIN…….BARRY KAPLAN picked up the win with a stellar performance and also delivered a huge three-run triple…..GREG LEADER also had a three-run triple to add to the offense…..

The second week of the season is in the books as the weather co-operated……the first team to report in is ME!!!!!!!!!……..in a pitchers dual and a game dominated by good defense, TEAM ROSENTHAL defeated TEAM LEADER, 3-2, as winner JASON “MVP” FAUST and BARRY KAPLAN both kept the opposing offenses in check…..with the score tied at 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning,  JOEL “SPARKY” FOGEL led off with a drag bunt single and after advancing on a wild pitch and a flyout by AARON “THE BRONCO” COMPTON, COREY (THE BOSTON MAN” NORRIS hit a pop-up to second base and FOGEL, using his “blazing” speed, was able to beat the throw home…..GAME BALL went to FAUST as not only did he pitch well, but fielded his position to perfection……also of note, rookie JAMES “ALL HANDS” SWAN recorded his first career hit with a solid single to LCF…….

TEAM WAGNER is now 2-0 after their latest win over winless TEAM WEISBROT, 12-3……the victors were down 3-2 in the 4th inning when they scored two runs to take the lead thanks in large to STEVE ZAWATZKY’s single, a DAVID SNYDER walk, a wild pitch and a two run single by MIKE CREEMER….IN THE FIFTH INNING THE BURGANDY BOMBERS plated five runs including a three-run double by captain BRAD WAGNER…..the captain added to his RBI total with a two run single in the 7th inning…..winning pitcher MARK WEISSER pitched a gem and included great defense behind him mainly BRANDON GUTTMAN in LCF, who robbed JACK COHEN in a web gem……Game Ball went to CREEMER……TEAM WAGNER plays TEAM LEFTON and TEAM WEISBROT takes on TEAM SCHWARTZ this coming Sunday……

Pitching and defense ruled in TEAM ROTHSTEIN’S victory over TEAM CRONSTEIN……MIKE GRAY pitched well and exhibited his normal excellent fielding….DOUG SANDOR was outstanding at 3B……offensively, BRIAN MONK, MIKE KADETZ and rookie YITSI CREEGER, who got his first JCC hit, led the way………subs ABE DAHAN and JERRY KIRZNER made some key contributions to the team’s first win of the season……

TEAM GREFER knocked off TEAM SCHWARTZ, 7-4, as rookie KEN GROH set the tone early with a web gem in the field and JAMIE KURTZER pitched another solid game with the defensive help of GROH, KYLE GREFER, DAN GREFER and MIKE SMALL……offensively, GROH, BRANDON LEBEAU and DANNY SCHAAFF led the way…..GAME BALL went to KEN “WATCHIN’ THE GREEN GRASS” GROH (good one Danny!) for his spectacular catch early on and a clutch hit in the 6th inning to help secure the victory…..
